Causal takes features from spreadsheets and combines them with key parts of programming, to make number-crunching collaborative and accessible to everyone, isolating key inputs and outputs of the model and visualising the dependencies within the model itself. Causal’s vision is to substitute spreadsheets as the de-facto way to work with numbers on a computer.
It is critical for an operator to identify and understand the levers in its business and gut instincts are no longer sufficient to drive businesses forward efficiently. A few key limitations to spreadsheets have also emerged over time, like live data integration, visual sensitivity analyses, accessibility and understandability for non-experts. Causal’s goal is to help its customers in a complex endeavour like building an effective model by making it a little bit simpler, allowing the client to visualise its business and then share it so that others can understand it and provide input.
