London-based Cercle is a luxury fashion rental marketplace that wants to make people’s lives more stylish but, crucially, in a sustainable fashion. Its vision is a world where borrowing is as meaningful as owning, so we consume less but access more.
Users can browse Cercle’s curated wardrobe of luxury finds and select the pieces they want, choose a start date and a return date. Cercle takes control of all logistics so lenders and borrowers can enjoy the perks.
This company has potentially given the recent surge in sustainable fashion, with sites like eBay, Depop, and Vinted, spurring more environmental consciousness within the society. There are, however, a growing number of competitors, and Cercle will have to attract investors and distinguish itself in order to dominate meaningful space in the market.
