Chatterbox has identified a sustainable and scalable way to offer a hand up to those individuals who experience economic exclusion and underemployment. Particularly within today's quickly and continuously changing labour market, this is an important mission and very much a mission I have seen the impact of first-hand and value deeply.

Chatterbox is the first start-up that I've worked at, and when I was told during the interview process that the team is collaboratively building and shaping the company, I didn't fully realise what that meant (having worked in more hierarchical organisations previously). It soon became very apparent that all opinions are valued and matter which results in every team member feeling authorised to take ownership of any initiative that they feel will add value to Chatterbox and make the company stronger and run with it.

There's never any time for anything to start to feel routine or mundane at Chatterbox! We're always looking for our next challenge to tackle and move fast to focus on and meet these head-on. There are always new tasks to do and skills to learn, which for a dedicated lifelong learner like myself, is exciting and a fantastic space to be in!

Chatterbox is working to help marginalised communities back into work and it the first place where I have worked where the mission is so strongly present and visible in everyday work. I find it immensely inspiring that the people we are trying to help are actually an instrumental part of the workings of the business itself. It means that every day, we are in contact with and in collaboration with these people and we see the fruits of our labour.

Chatterbox is a fully remote company and it works! Not only does Chatterbox have a healthy meetings culture, it is also extremely accommodating for employees' commitments outside of work. For example, I am a single parent with a young child and Chatterbox has let me allocate my working hours flexibly around childcare, allowing me to work in the evenings after "normal" working hours, so that I have more time Monday-Friday with my little family.

Chatterbox is full of truly empathetic, helpful and supportive people. I think the reason is that Chatterbox does an extremely job of hiring people with a genuine interest in the company mission which in essence is to help people in need. There is always a helping hand, and often times you don't even have to ask for it to be extended. It is just offered when someone recognises the need.

Everyone adapts to family situations from every member of our company. Working hours are flexible, and people work at different times. Family and Health are top priorities for Chatterbox.

I joined Chatterbox because of the inspiring mission and values the founders want to achieve. I feel that my work has more meaning than being just about Revenue.
