There's nobody checking if you are online, where you work from. Sometimes I work from a coffee place, a co-working place, or from home when it rains. It's a very freeing feeling. You are expected to do great work, of course, and to be responsible and self-manage. That combination requires a special type of person, that is conscientious and naturally capable, and doesn't need a boss breathing down their neck to do well at work. We don't use Slack, so the distraction levels are minimal, and I finally have time, energy and dopamine to do what I do best. I only interact synchronously my colleagues because I genuinely like them, or when strictly necessary.

Circuit has some of the most capable people I've worked with. The leadership is extremely capable, and the company doesn't do what other companies are doing, just because it's the perceived standard. If it makes sense, adjustments are made, and the company feels like a well-oiled machine. The company has, it my opinion, the perfect balance between room for discussion and yet gives autonomy for pragmatic decision making.

Here, you are fully independent; you handle an entire Epic by yourself, and no one micromanages or babysits you. I know, you read this before, but here this is not only a promise.

I am pretty honest and direct; while this could be a great skill, it has caused me a lot of headaches in more corporate environments. Circuit is the first company I worked where I can be 100% myself and be appreciated for that.

At Circuit all employees participate in a weekly meeting. The leadership shows how the company is going, in terms of growth and finances. Also, other topics are discussed like new hires, promotions and team achievements.

At Circuit all employees are fully remote. We don't have a lot of meetings, most people have one meeting per week. This makes the work schedule pretty flexible, so you can work at the time that it's best for you.

At Circuit we impact the daily work of delivery drivers and dispatchers. Being the tool that supports a person's day of work is really impactful. We can make their life better on a daily basis.

I can work from anywhere. It can be in my home office, a friend’s house, a co-working space, or just outside! This means I can find the best space that works for me at any given time. My time is respected, and it is never assumed that work will take priority over any personal matter. Having time for my family, friends, and myself, allows me to be a better person at work.

We have great collaboration tools that allow us to share information, co-work, and chat with each other. This means we do not need to use emails internally, which blows my mind daily! Although we are a very senior team, we are always available to help each other. We celebrate individual wins as a team and are proud of each other‘s accomplishments.

Besides the competitive salary, Circuit offers a laptop, home office, and learning stipends. In less than two years, I was already promoted and had my salary adjusted to reflect the current market level.

Being able to work at times of the day when I am at my most energized and creative has meant that I can really enjoy what I do and achieve so much more. Also nice to take the dogs for a stroll at lunchtime or miss the crowds at the gym!
