Our take
Initially supplying a delivery app for micro kitchens, Circus Group now develops AI-powered autonomous robots for kitchens. The idea is to support the cooking of low-cost, high-quality cuisine while reducing food waste, overhead costs and cooking times.
Founded in Munich, the company has invested in expansion to other German cities - and also into Beijing where it installed over 5000 autonomous kitchen robots in educational institutions.
It continues to secure lucrative partnerships such as with Mercedes-Benz Gastronomie, as well as acquiring the global patent portfolio of a US-based AI robotics company. This sets the company up well to become a real disruptor in the space, and to build on its successes so far.
