Our take

Even though governments allocate billions of dollars to support SMEs' R&D initiatives, the barriers to accessing them are currently very high. Claimer is a UK-based startup that aims to help SMEs get access to R&D tax credit.

The startup's tax and technology experts prepare clients' claims and handle all communication with HMRC on behalf of clients, with none of their claims being rejected so far. Claimer's vision is to become a company that connects businesses with opportunities provided by the government, and the service that simplifies claiming UK R&D tax credits is just their first initiative in this direction.

The startup has over 300 clients, counting unmind, Rentify, Rotaready and JustWears among them. The company is well funded by some of the top investors in Europe. They will be investing in hiring new talent and developing their software in order to be able to process more claims in the future.
