To help promote and assist consumers in confidently buying second-hand electric vehicles.
Our take
Electric vehicles represent a good opportunity to reduce carbon emissions worldwide. However, uptake has been slow due to higher cost, a lack of charging infrastructure, and lingering concerns about their performance.
To help combat this, ClearWatt supplies a platform to support the second-hand EV market, opening electric up to those with cost concerns. The platform facilitates the entire sale and purchase process, and importantly includes an EV health checker and certification process to alleviate performance concerns.
Addressing a relatively ignored corner of the market presents the company with ripe opportunity to carve out a space for itself. As interest in EVs rises, its potential pool of users should only rise and it will be interesting to see how the platform develops beyond its current beta testing stage.
