Our take
Managing investments at large financial firms is hugely complicated and banks, insurers, and hedge funds often rely on multiple systems that don't work smoothly together, causing slow reporting, errors, and fragmented data. In fast-moving markets, these kind of inefficiencies can quickly become very expensive problems.
Clearwater Analytics is tackling this problem, providing a cloud-based platform that combines investment management, accounting, trading, reporting, and risk analysis into one system. By replacing disconnected legacy software, Clearwater is helping firms automate workflows and get a better real-time view of their investments.
Unsurprisingly, the company has been growing rapidly as more financial firms modernize their operations. Recently, Clearwater reported revenue growth of 74% year-over-year and now supports more than $10 trillion in assets globally. Backed by major acquisitions and an $8.4 billion takeover deal, Clearwater is really making waves in modern finance.
