To close the gender gap in tech by providing employment through free education.
Only roughly 10% of the world’s web and software developers are women, with the tech industry remaining dominantly male despite efforts to close this gender gap. Since 2014, Code First Girls has been on a mission to tackle this issue, providing coding courses at no personal cost that connect underrepresented talent to job openings.
By partnering with companies, Code First Girls enables them to access female and non-binary talent, covering training costs through their existing diversity initiatives. In this way, the company has grown into the UK’s largest provider of free coding courses for women and non-binary people, used by a number of huge industry names including Goldman Sachs, Deloitte, Rolls Royce, and GCHQ.
