Our take
Over the past few years the demand for data scientists has skyrocketed as companies seek to find experts that can help them effectively use the data they gather. Coefficient is a data consultancy offering data science, engineering, machine learning and other AI-related services as well as bespoke training courses.
The company's hugely varied expertise makes them a smarter option for most companies than an internal team. Coefficient have also built new routing and scheduling software for City Pantry to allow more accurate monitoring of unpredictable London traffic for their drivers. By providing a range of services, the company uses its expertise to assist companies in a range of endeavours, allowing it to be a one-stop-shop for clients' every data related need.
Coefficient has seen success, already boasting an impressive client list, including BNP Paribas, EY, Hawk-Eye, the BBC, and the Metropolitan Police. Going forward the company appear to be expanding its services, having begun offering educational coding courses.

John Sandall
(Principal Data Scientist)An Imperial Mathematics graduate, John previously founded Knodium, an education tech start-up selected for Springboard London in 2012. Also Residential Fellow at Newspeak House.

Originally a part-time contractor, Harriet became the full-time Ops Manager in Jan ‘20. Working closely with John, her role includes HR, Finance and Strategy.
Joined as a part-time Data Science intern while completing his PhD. Promoted to full-time Data Science Consultant in 2020. Luke's role also includes consulting, tuition and software development.
