Whilst fundraising is commonly associated with charity work, workplaces and communities often work together to raise funds for leaving parties, birthday gifts, and other occasions. However, there is a lack of platforms to help facilitate such fundraising, with existing solutions focussing exclusively on charitable donations.

Collection Pot provides an online fundraising platform for community events, gifts, charities, or any other reason, allowing users to create a virtual money pot, share it for people to contribute to, and spend it. Whilst the company primarily focuses on providing a general money collection platform for consumers, it also partners with charities to streamline incoming payments and provide access to donor data.

The company faces competition from fundraising platforms such as JustGiving, however Collection Pot has approached fundraising from a less conventional angle, recognizing that people frequently need to split the costs for events and gifts outside of charitable causes.
