Connect Earth

I joined Connect Earth to make a difference in tackling the climate crisis. It is incredibly rewarding and motivating to work within an organization that has the potential to actually make a significant impact.

Connect Earth is growing incredibly fast and it means that you grow with it. In my time at Connect Earth, I have undertaken new responsibilities at a far greater rate than most other people I know. With the traction we've had in 2021 as well as closing our funding round, I can only see us growing even faster.

Alex and Nick (the co-founders) have taken active steps to ensure that the culture at Connect Earth is inclusive and meritocratic. The team is remote-first but still has a very tight-knit feel to it. As well as being great and kind people, everyone in the team is passionate about our mission and what we can achieve together. I feel very privileged to work with the team that I do.

What I loved about CE from the beginning is that I was able to work on different projects and by doing that, discover my personal strengths and weaknesses as well as what interests me the most. Because we are a fairly young startup, things are very dynamic and new opportunities to learn come very often. There is a high level of trust between employees and the founders what really empowers you and your personal development.

Climate change is one of the most pressing issues of our times and being able to contribute my work to the enterprise that is driven by fighting it is as rewarding as the work itself. We have potential to become a go-to source for environmental data on companies and thus finally put consumer pressure on corporations to become truly sustainable.

I love being able to set up my working day in line with my personal plans. If I have some plans in the evening, I am free to start working earlier that day. Same goes when I stayed up a bit later than usual, I can always start and finish my work day later to get enough sleep. Very good for keeping work-life balance.
