Company mission

To allow anyone to work for themselves and give clients the ability to hire the best freelance talent.

Our take

Contra is a professional network for independent workers. Most networking platforms are designed as a “hub and spokes,” with individual freelancers interacting primarily with the platform rather than one another. But, a different approach may be emerging as marketplaces evolve.

Contra provides the tools for independent workers to build a professional identity and manage their work, scope projects, sign contracts and get paid. The platform can be used as a facilitator of collaboration among its members for mutual professional and economic benefit.

With many people opting for the flexibility of independent work, Contra is becoming a resource that the Gen Z digital workers are excited to use. Now, the company is focused on creating more products and hiring new talent as they gain more users over the coming years.
