Our take

Contxt is a digital platform that builds tools which automate privacy and personal data security controls. Using machine learning, Contxt bypasses the need to build privacy applications and instead focuses on adding new layers of privacy protection to preexisting softwares.

The cost to companies from data breaches rose by 12.7% between 2020 and 2022, indicating the need for investment in Contxt and similar machine learning driven privacy tools, especially for companies who view privacy as an afterthought when developing customer focused software.

Though only formed in 2021, Contxt has already been awarded the UK Innovate grant, which will help them accelerate their machine learning model. With competitors such as Leapyear and Enveil having received funding from investors such as MasterCard and Capital One Growth Ventures, Contxt must secure new clients to catch up with the crowd.

Previously CTO of Magic Lantern Productions, then MD of Glow Labs. After holding various senior roles at Janrain (ultimately Vice President and Managing Director EMEA), followed the company over to Akamai Technologies, where they were AVP of Sales.

Served as Technical Director at NovaCare Health Technologies, before serving as Symphonic Software's CTO.
