Convelio is on a mission to build the logistics backbone of the Art world.
Like many industries, the art world is dealing with a forced migration online, including virtual auctions and marketplaces. Convelio has emerged as a key player in such digitisation: the company is on a mission to build the logistics backbone of the Art world.
Founded in 2017, Convelio is a digital tool and freight forwarder that delivers fine art to over 70 destinations. Pieces shipped by Convelio range from paintings and sculptures to high-end furniture, with values typically ranging from a few thousand euros to millions of euros.
Its own proprietary algorithm considers various parameters such as fragility, dimensions and value to assemble the most appropriate end-to-end logistics chain for each artwork at up to 40% lower costs than its competitors. The platform also delivers instant shipping quotes, unlike traditional carriers that take two to five days on average.
Currently based in Paris and London, the company serves thousands of customers from art galleries, auction houses, interior designers, to online platforms. Having now opened an office in New York, Convelio is now able to serve a wider client base with more ease.
