Cordless is an early-stage startup with a mission to unlock voice content for customer support teams. We build tools for companies to bring together voice and text to create magical experiences for customers on a smartphone.

Our take

57% of customers say phone is their preferred channel of communication to get support and voice is the richest channel for customer feedback. But it’s currently difficult for companies to analyse those conversations and get meaningful insights. Cordless unlocks this content and enables teams to make better decisions to improve their service and product faster.

The founders met working at Monzo when it was still a prepaid card and are likely to use their experience scaling the company in this new venture. The founders realise there are still so many gaps in the customer support tools for voice, and as the company grows, they are committed to addressing these issues.

Launched in 2020, the company has a working telephony product, integrations with several Helpdesk tools, voice analytics and built-in SMS flows. Cordless has partnered with Monzo, GoCardless and Onfido amongst others.

A software engineer with over 12 years of experience, they worked at Monzo and built its telephony system, scaling the internal product team to over 20 people. They have also worked as a Software Engineer at FreeAgent, Undev.ru and Makers Academy.
