Our take
Many people procrastinate insuring their valuable belongings due to it being a frustrating and time-consuming process. Existing insurance web services are usually dedicated to a particular item and will require sifting through vast amounts of information and websites.
Cover has built a smartphone application that integrates insurance comparison for many different items into a single marketplace. The app uses machine learning to gain insights into the condition of an item through the user’s camera, in addition to collecting information such as price paid to provide instant comparisons for insurance quotes.
Whilst many websites and apps provide insurance comparison services, Cover stands out by unifying many different types of insurance into one accessible app. Their approach is to make the process as easy and innovative as possible to increase uptake in insurance purchasing by providing a stress-free experience to users.
