Creator Fund invests in founders building companies on the frontier of what's possible. We believe Europe's next generation of leading deep technology startups will be started on university campuses. Creator Fund has been built to provide the capital and support that these deep tech founders need to succeed.
Universities have an abundance of students with entrepreneurial mindsets, and with access to the right resources, these students can lead great technological innovations. However, this can only be achieved with access to necessary resources such as facilities and financing, and this is a culture that is currently more prevalent in the U.S. than in Europe.
Creator Fund invests in deep tech businesses that are founded by students and researchers, believing that the future of tech start-ups will arise from university campuses. The company focuses on providing venture capital funding to European universities, with examples of their current investments being brain-to-machine interfacing and mutation-proof vaccines.
The US Dorm Room Fund model is a prime example of a similar venture capital fund focusing on accelerating university research and innovation, ultimately resulting in companies such as Facebook and Yahoo. Creator Fund has expanded on such models by investing in research students at UK universities but aims to expand out to other European countries in the future.
