Crimson's mission is to equalise the university admissions playing field, serving as the launching pad that equips students across the globe to overcome barriers of geography and legacy to compete on the world stage.
Crimson has built its reputation on providing consulting and tutoring services to students who apply for the world’s most exclusive universities and colleges – OxBridge, The Ivy League, and their ilk. On top of these core offerings, there’s the Crimson Global Academy – a quickly growing, internationally accredited, private online high school.
Though the EdTech arms race has seen countless startups fall by the wayside, Crimson Education is one of its success stories. Though not as prolific as the likes of Udemy and Masterclass, this perhaps has more to do with its less public model than its growth, which made a multi-millionaire out of CEO Jamie Beaton by the age of 24.
Considering that the Crimson employee headcount is now well into the hundreds and is still growing, the company is operating in around 30 markets, and there’s been a lot of talk about an IPO having reached unicorn status, it’s fair to say that things are going very well for the New Zealand-founded startup.
