Our take

One of the most powerful marketing tools is location data, but access to this is often limited and under-analyzed. Existing data being used is focused on static locations, as opposed to the movement of location data. Cuebiq has tapped into a large pool of smartphone users, offering data accuracy far superior in comparison to their competitors.

The company tracks location data using software built into apps that people download. In doing so, they can estimate the home location of cell phones and how often people move outside the home. This enables their clients to understand the true impact of cross-channel advertising in the offline world.

Through these tools, the company has increased its revenue by 240% and has resulted in over $30 million in funding. Cuebiq is planning on using this investment to tackle data privacy hurdles currently in their way, helping them expand global operations.
