Our take

Started in 2020, Curative was originally founded on the basis of developing sepsis tests for hospitals but made a quick turn to focus on the COVID-19 pandemic a few months later.

Alongside its focus on supplying tests, Curative also has its own health plan for Austin, Texas citizens. This includes copay and deductible-free services and access to a high-tech wellness center in Austin, Texas.

Pivoting from test development to healthcare plans was a key move for Curative. Since the 2020 and 2021 crises have to an extent stabilized, test supply has become less of a priority for national organizations. Thanks to its success in partnerships with the likes of the US Airforce and KorvaLabs, Curative gained insight into the US economic healthcare infrastructure and has designed a healthcare plan that is boutique to the patient.

This plan is only applicable to Austin citizens at the moment and Curative should look to expand their coverage to benefit other parts of Texas too.
