Our take

Buying lingerie can be stressful, with "one size fits all" designs making it hard for women to find well-fitting products. Whilst personalised order boxes exist for markets such as grocery shopping and books, the lingerie industry has not experienced such innovations, leading women to resort to shopping experiences plagued with ill-fitting lingerie and returns.

CurveCatch provides an online personalised lingerie fitting service and store, helping women to find well-fitting lingerie based on their answers to body-type questionnaires. The company sends personalised products to potential customers for free, allowing the user to purchase items that they are satisfied with without being charged for items that they do not like.

Whilst online lingerie shopping is nothing new, customers must usually go through the laborious process of buying and testing products, returning them for a refund, and continuing shopping, and CurveCatch has recognised that there are better solutions. Through its personalised “try before you buy” approach, the company aims to make buying lingerie a faster, cheaper, enjoyable, and less stressful experience for all.

Because lingerie sizes are so numerous and so inconsistent, it is almost impossible to buy it online. This can also be seen in the fact that only 10% of us buy it online versus 30% in clothing and shoes. All the knowledge that is in the hands of small specialty shop owners today is inaccessible to all of us and will disappear if the business is not passed on from parent to son or daughter. We are on a mission to share it with the world and immortalise it
  • Inclusiveness - There is nothing less fun than trying on a whole range of items and then leaving with one bra that you don't really like, that already hurts and was as expensive as going to a good restaurant. Lingerie shops cannot possibly have all sizes in stock as there are so many sizes. It is simply too expensive. We can offer you that because we have a hybrid online-offline model. Any size, any ethnicity, any style, any gender. We always try to give you a selection so you can choose
