Our take
Buildings are responsible for nearly a third of energy usage, and close to 30% of carbon emissions worldwide. A significant portion of this could be avoided with energy-optimised building design and practices, and this is precisely what energy management solution company DEXMA has been helping companies put into practice for well over a decade.
Sustainable development goals, or similar sustainability programs, are in place across an increasingly large number of enterprises and smaller businesses. This means business should be booming for facilitating companies like DEXMA, who enjoy a 4,000+ strong international customer base (including Burger King, the Radisson, and the Spanish Government) and have enjoyed a substantial period of time as an industry leader.
DEXMA may be headed in an additional and interesting new direction, too. It was acquired by building management software company MCS Solutions (Spacewell) back in 2020, with the aim of bolstering MCS’ efforts to provide a comprehensive smart building management solution. If smart buildings begin to take off, in the wake of the increased adoption of smart technology in the home, this could prove a highly lucrative avenue for development.
