Our take

The dietary supplements market is a well-established one, traditionally dominated by major players such as Holland & Barrett and Boots. DR.VEGAN wants to disrupt this market, hoping that their ability to provide high quality, ethically sourced and environmentally sustainable vegan supplements will draw consumers away from their past suppliers and towards this new brand.

In recent years, consumer trends have moved strongly towards more ethically-sourced products, so DR.VEGAN should be able to pick up on an existing social movement in its favour. Furthermore, with the number of vegans consistently rising, the need for products such as DR.VEGAN's should be set to continue increasing into the future. However, DR.VEGAN is not limited to supplying vegans - its products can appeal to anyone - and therefore it has the potential to disrupt a much wider section of the market than might first be apparent.

Moving forward, the key challenge for DR.VEGAN will be establishing its presence among consumers as fast as possible. Already, the company is reaching customers through DTC, retail and international distribution, including Whole Foods Market, Holland & Barrett, and in Hong Kong, South Africa, and the US. If it can set itself up as a competitive alternative to the major players, DR.VEGAN could be set for big things.
