Our take

Making insurtech more personable - and pettable - Dalma is a French health insurance company for cats and dogs. Founded in 2021 as a subsidiary of OLLIE, Dalma raised 15 million euros in Series A funding in 2022.

The insurtech industry is projected to grow at a Combined Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 32.7% between 2021 and 2030. This is thanks to renewed interest in customer centricity, intelligent process, and virtual interaction investment, and Dalma seems to have mastered all of these areas.

Its quick turnaround in customer communication and fee transparency has led to Dalma insuring tens of thousands of pets already. With a growing employee base, $18 million in funding behind it, and a well-branded, unique place within the market, Dalma is set to become a leader in European pet insurance.
