To connect people to the local actions necessary to thrive in the face of climate change.
Dashboard.Earth is led by the idea that in order to stop the climate crisis, we must not just avoid making things worse for the environment, but must actively work to make them better. To this end, it offers an app for people to engage in local climate action, whether that be in their communities or their own homes.
Through the app, users can browse different actions and find the ones that work for them, and are then led step-by-step through the process of implementing them. Importantly, Dashboard.Earth also displays the impact of these actions so that people can see how their small changes are affecting the bigger picture.
The company has initially launched its app in LA (the most climate-vulnerable city in the US), with plans to eventually expand beyond this pilot scheme to other cities. For now, we can only wait to see if the company makes the impact that it aspires to.
