To build AI apps at the speed of thought.
Based out of Oslo, Databutton is a low-code platform designed to accommodate app and software developers in the creation of their products. Aiming to democratise the creation of apps and tech, Databutton claims to help anyone build interactive web applications in minutes. With the choice of using pre-made datasets or the customer’s own, users can connect to an ever-growing catalogue of sources, models, and integrations to help them design their desired product.
The founders of Databutton have seen previous success at Unicorn company Cognite, an IoT data platform, which became the inspiration for Databutton. This experience gave the three founders firsthand experience of how difficult it is for data engineers to build products that can be easily used by other employees who don’t necessarily have the same level of software training.
Databutton has seen early success in the form of $5 million in seed funding, which is being funneled towards the development of an AI “Databutler” which it hopes will be ready to emerge from beta testing by the end of 2023. With more than 5,000 users and 6,400 web applications already built using Databutton, it’s a promising start for the Unicorn-founded company. The proof will be in the pudding though, as the company releases its Databutler product.
