Company mission

To provide the LGBT+ community with a smart and modern banking service, built by LGBT+ people.

Our take

Daylight is the only digital banking platform in the US targeted to the LGBT+ community, helping its members to navigate the financial system and promoting financial security. Operating primarily via a mobile app, the platform is also planning real-world pop-up financial clinics. It offers a range of financial products including pre-paid Visa cards and access to a network of financial coaches.

Founded by members of the LGBT+ community, Daylight acts as a safe financial space for the community, which numbers around 30 million people in the US. Income is generated through the deployment of a simple fee structure with no monthly usage or physical card fees, and a 57c fee for ATM withdrawals.

Daylight takes on challenges that members of the LGBT+ community often face in the traditional banking world, tackling issues such as incorrect names on issued cards and inadequate financing options. With a waiting list of thousands, Daylight expects to have around 10,000 customers when it launches.
