Our take

M&A transactions are the most pivotal corporate activities and yet are also perhaps the most complex, information-dense and unpredictable processes within the corporate sector. DealRoom is changing the way professionals conduct M&A with an agile-based approach to M&A lifecycle management.

DealRoom is a financial software company that serves corporate development, investment banking, and private equity professionals. Its primary focus is creating secure and efficient workflows for complex transactions. Crucially, by moving away from Excel and email, teams gain deal-wide visibility reducing the risk of value being unrealized.

By focusing purely on improving the process of M&A with software, the team is well-positioned to profit in times when the market is on a tear (like the 2010s) and times when deals dry up, but returns are more precious. It's because of this single-minded approach to process optimisation that the startup’s technology is now being used by some of the world’s leading boutique firms.
