Our take
From their experience working alongside nurses, Dem Dx’s CEO believed that if there was a digital tool to support nurses’ decision making, they would be better positioned to determine the primary steps and management of common conditions present in any clinical environment. This is what they set out to create.
Dem Dx now offers an AI-enhanced clinical reasoning platform that helps frontline healthcare workers diagnose, order investigations, and provide care recommendations at the first point of contact before a doctor sees the patient. This is a particularly urgent cause, as the increasing shortage of front-line clinical staff means that more non-doctor clinicians need to take on clinical responsibilities safely and with confidence.
The company has been granted various rounds of funding in partnership with organisations like DigitalHealth.London and NHS Innovation Accelerator. With impressive backing and a much needed solution to a widespread problem, Dem Dx are well set to make an impact in the space.
