With a core audience of app and web developers, Directus was co-founded by a former web consultant Ben Haynes. Having honed in what he perceived to be a problem in the repetitiveness of web engineering, Directus’ USP is flexibility and scalability for developers who use the tool, and it aims to be a platform that helps non-engineers get to grips with app building.

Whilst Directus’ mission is nothing new in the app development toolkit industry, the company claims that its mixture of traditional developer tools and no-code is enough to set it apart. With a respectable client list and strong funding, it looks like Directus is on track to stand out from the crowd.
