I love working for DFL as I feel I am making a huge difference to the lives of teachers and their students across the UK. I'm able to use my pedagogical expertise to create lessons and contribute to the question generation team so that we can reduce teacher workload, while having a positive imact on the attainment of their students, particularly in disadvantaged communities.

After working in schools for almost 10 years, the freedom I get over my own schedule is amazing. Though I largely work 9-5 most days, I am able to take time for appointments or adjust my schedule to work around my freelancers that need appointments outside of these hours. So long as my work is being completed to a high standard, I am trusted to work to a schedule that works for me.

It is a very exciting time to be a part of DFL - within a year we have gone from having a team of 4 full-time staff to 10 of us. I have built my team from the ground up - where there were no people or processes before, I now have 2 full time members of my team and 12 freelancers, alongside other projects I am managing. We have such exciting plans for the platform and the charity over the next year and beyond, and its amazing to be a part of something that will shape the mathematical education landscape for the better.

My colleagues are thoughtful, pragmatic and each have expert knowledge of understanding of the product, the needs of our clients and how to deliver on our objectives. I love being in meetings where intelligent questions are asked and discussion is clear and concise!

The online learning platform Dr Frost genuinely meets the needs of teachers and learners on a global scale! It is a seriously great product. As a former teacher, I love working on something that I know from first hand experience makes a huge difference in the world of mathematics education.

We are pro family (and it's not just all about kids!). Some of us have children and some don't, but we all have a shared value that working around family needs is important, be that parental needs, children's need or even our pets! Flexible working allows you to make the working day work for you.

Dr Frost is working to make sure all students have access to high quality maths education in the UK and around the world. Being part of that journey is incredibly rewarding, particularly when teachers tell us how much it has helped them.

The team at Dr Frost are all incredibly hard working and willing to support each other however they need. There is a very welcoming environment that helps new staff settle in quickly, despite being fully remote.

The flexibility of working fully remote really helps balance work and life while making sure I can be as productive as possible. We have employees that work various schedules, both full and part-time, and they all feel equally part of the team and able to contribute in ways that also support their well being and family lives.
