Drover offers monthly, all-in car subscriptions to customers who want to experience flexible car ownership at a fair price. Drover's mission is to build the world’s category-defining car subscription business.
Car ownership has remained largely unchanged in past years: you either own one, rent one for short periods, or choose to rely on public transport/taxis.
Ownership hasn't been particularly broken, but Drover has seen an opportunity to provide a new category: pay for your car on subscription, with an ability to cancel with seven days of notice.
Drover takes out a lot of hassle of owning a car: they sort out insurance, maintenance, tax and breakdown cover. Customers no longer have to think about the quality of the car they buy, or selling it second-hand later.
It's a hard business model to pull off, having to integrate closely with partners (car manufacturers, fleet partners, dealers, etc).
