Our take

Dynaboard wants to make web app programming an easier, more collaborative experience across teams. Currently in private beta mode, the Dynaboard solution is a single platform featuring both code editors and drag-and-drop building tools. It therefore accommodates the more sophisticated designs of developers, and allows develop-adjacent team members to contribute towards both code and UX.

The product hits two key SaaS trends that are proving popular for VCs and enterprise customers right now. One is low-code: as developer talent remains scarce, tools that allow other team members to carry out simple software jobs free up engineering talent for more critical tasks. The other is collaboration platforms: hybrid, remote, and asynchronous workforces are becoming more popular, meaning that businesses are now doubling down on investment in platforms that facilitate this.

So Dynaboard’s product sits at what could prove a highly lucrative intersection. And in spite of being in the early stages, has attracted investment from key players like XYZ Venture Capital, General Catalyst, and early employees from GitHub, Mozilla, and Coinbase.
