To demystify employee share ownership plans and help founders, managers and employees understand the value of equity incentives to unleash their true potential.
A huge advantage in the shift to remote work is that it allows companies to source talent globally, but with that comes problems with employee compensation. Equity stock is a major draw for new talent in the startup sector, but international laws and taxes can make this incredibly complicated to offer this across borders. Easop wants to make equity easier, providing a platform to quickly offer legally compliant equity packages to hires anywhere in the world.
Popular capitalisation table management platforms exist that show the equity ownership for a company, most notably Carta and Pulley. But Easop doesn't seek to replace these - it integrates with them, adding another layer that makes the information contained in these systems more accurate. Easop is alone in providing a solution that relieves a major pain point for companies that hire internationally, and as a result has already been trusted to handle millions of dollars in equity stock options by its pilot startups such as Maze, Payflow and Slite.
Easop has recently come out of stealth, raising seed funding led by Partech and Boldstart Ventures. It is planning to onboard new talent, develop its product and expand into new markets. While it is currently only working with US-based companies it has long term plans to offer its platform to companies anywhere in the world.
