To empower companies to better protect their employees through advanced hearing protection and noise analytics.
Tens of thousands of people in the UK have hearing impairments caused by noise at work. Across Europe meanwhile, it’s estimated that close to 50 million people work in dangerous noise levels – particularly in industries like manufacturing and construction.
In attempting to protect workers’ hearing, low-tech measures like ear muffs and plugs impact communication, and can lead to even more noise. EAVE is attempting to break this cycle with its IoT-enabled headsets, which monitor noise levels in real time, reduce noise levels when needed, yet still allow wearers to communicate clearly.
The 2015 founded company has been growing organically without major funding, and counts a few prominent industry names among its customers, including HS2, Costain-Skanska, and Galliford Try.
There’s no doubt over the impressiveness of EAVE’s tech, and the steady growth of the company in the UK bodes well for the future. It’ll be interesting to see if EAVE attempts an international expansion into the European market in the future.
