To empower everyone to change the quality of their life by inherently understanding their health though technology and specialist knowledge.
Only 2% of medical research funding is spent on pregnancy, childbirth, and female reproductive health. Emm is setting out to change this, and improve menstrual care. It delivers a smart menstrual cup and companion mobile app to enable users to track the volume, flow rate, cycle length and regularity of their periods.
The cup itself is made of medical-grade silicone, and is fitted with bio-sensors for monitoring. Data collected is transferred to the app automatically, meaning there is no need for users to input information themselves as with classic period-tracking apps.
Having secured funding back in 2022, Emm has been working to bring its product from concept to consumer. With the feminine hygiene market worth over $25 billion, and well in need of innovation, there should be plenty of opportunity for the company post-launch, and it will be interesting to see how popular the product proves to be once it is in the hands of consumers.
