To revolutionize next-gen distributed, accelerated computing.
The AI revolution is accelerating, but currently existing hardware and software threaten to put on the brakes. The formidable resource requirements of AI and machine learning workloads are beginning to exceed the capabilities of even the most powerful enterprise computers. Enfabrica, a software and hardware company which launched from stealth in 2023, exists to solve this problem, building specialized networking solutions which can keep up with the vast data movements required by modern AI models.
Enfabrica builds the Accelerated Compute Fabric Switch, a piece of hardware which can provide multi-terabit-per-second data flows between processors. As the network is often bottlenecked when numerous accelerated processors are operating in parallel, this solution has the potential to greatly improve performance while improving scalability. Indeed, Enfabrica claims that its solution cuts compute for LLMs by up to 50%.
Enfabrica has recently closed a major Series B funding round, led by Atreides Management. This funding will be used to advance the company’s research and development and to further expand its engineering, marketing, and sales teams. The funding will also help it stay ahead of the competition such as Cisco and Broadcom, which are closing in on Enfabrica's capabilities. However, as all AI firms are searching for an answer to compute costs, there is a huge market to play for and Enfabrica is well positioned as a major player in this space.
