To provide infrastructure so that researchers and teams can focus on algorithms without spending most of their time building and maintaining their computing infrastructure.
Eventual provides a Data Warehouse that allows users to explore, query, and process complex data types such as images and video. By supplying the computing infrastructure for data teams to work with this data, the company saves clients the time and effort this would have spent on building it themselves, and allows them to focus on algorithms and advancing their work.
Eventual states it is planning to unlock the whopping 80% of data that has remained untapped due to being unstructured, which represents a giant market if they are able to do so. Its Dataframe library, called DaFt, enables quick experimentation and iteration on Python Notebooks, and was built with performance and scalability in mind, which should return high levels of utility for clients. The company has raised good funds, including from YCombinator, towards building out its DaFt product, as well as improving supportive infrastructure on the Eventual Cloud Platform.
