Our take
Data privacy can be complicated for those who don’t want to read thousands of pages of regulations. Evervault is focused on building a unique data-privacy interface that developers can use when creating software, providing simple developer tools to deploy applications in hardware-hardened containers, enabling clients to focus on building products rather than security.
Evervault plans to offer its service as an API to allow developers to seamlessly build it into the software stack of whatever they are creating. Around 3,000 developers are on the company's waitlist for its encryption engine, such as drone delivery firm Manna, fintech startup Okra and health tech company Vital.
The company is using funds to continue developing its main encryption product and to hire new talent. It also plans to provide further functionalities in the future such as encrypted data tagging, programmatic role-based access, and programmatic compliance.
