To protect people from imminent harm and help those in immediate need.
Created by NBC’s Breaking News co-founders Ben Tesch, Cory Bergman and Charlie Tillinghast, Factal operates at the intersections of news media, business intelligence, risk management, and crisis response. The company offers corporates and NGOs a blend of AI technology and experienced journalists to analyze and verify global breaking news, allowing them time to respond accordingly.
With justifiable concerns surrounding heavily biased and fake news, misinformation, and disinformation, an objective and reliable source offers immense value. Of course, there will always be disagreement about how unbiased an organization can really be, but Factal looks to be acting in good faith.
If the company’s funding was coming from lobbyists or politically motivated sources, it would certainly be a red flag. However, the bulk of Factal’s capital thus far has come from B2B software investor Arthur Ventures, which indicates that this is strictly business. Considering the fact that Factal's paying customers include a handful of Fortune 500 companies, the company looks to be in a good position going forward.
