Research conducted by McKinsey, HBR, and BCG has shown that diverse and inclusive companies are more successful, creative, and innovative. They also experience fast-paced growth, and are more profitable. However, most companies fail to promote inclusive policies, and research has shown slow progress in this direction among businesses of all sizes.
FairHQ is an early-stage startup that is setting out to help change this and empower companies to build a more diverse and productive team. Their SaaS solution combines the latest scientific research with proprietary technology to provide companies with an easy way to implement D&I policies within their business.
The startup was established in 2020 and it has recently launched its software in private beta only for UK-based startups. This strategy will allow FairHQ to have more control over the customers and gain comprehensive insights into customer needs. In doing so, the startup is intending to develop its platform before launching it to the large public.

(CEO)Kate loves solving big societal problems, Fair HQ is her 4th company. Prior to that, she founded a company in the D&I space and 2 in the mental health area.
Hayley joined as Head of Product, two years later becoming CPO. They apply systems thinking and a background in behavioural science and DEI advocacy to help companies make a real difference in DEI.

Every meeting I attend, I'm afforded time to speak up with my feelings or opinions on what's being discussed. I've never left a meeting feeling like I didn't have the opportunity to contribute. Further, my opinions aren't just listened to - but they're taken into account when we make big decisions.

It's so special to be part of a team that is rethinking and redesigning the way we think about diversity and inclusion at work. Although I did a PhD in the field, I feel like I learnt more in 1 year of Fair HQ than those 4 years. I get to master new skills every day. Because we're a small team I also get to wear multiple hats, which makes every day different. The work is also challenging because we can't rely on 'the way things have been done before' - we're creating a new product category: Embedded D&I.
