To keep furniture in homes and out of landfills.
12% employee growth in 12 months
With younger generations less financially comfortable, high-end purchases have fallen out of favor or reach. The appetite for high quality pieces has, however, remained the same, creating an opportunity that Feather has snapped up - bridging this market gap by offering a specialist furniture rental marketplace to younger, waste-conscious urban customers.
Feather has proven it is savvily clued-in to its customer base’s shifting requirements. For example, it opened business in Texas, a state especially popular with relocating millennials, as well as operating online in keeping with both the consumer habits of the younger generation, and the retail pivot towards eCommerce.
The company now exists in numerous US cities from New York to Los Angeles, capitalising from the increasing distaste with ‘fast’ consumer industries. By establishing itself early on as a waste-conscious option in the market, it has been able to capture immense interest which bodes well for its future in an industry which is undoubtedly on the rise.
