Fidel is tackling the obstacles to accessing customer payment data, making it easier for developers to create smart solutions customers love, without the burden of complex integrations, cost or compliance traditionally found in the payments ecosystem.
The company has developed a suite of APIs that make it easy to link a user's payment card to an app and securely access real-time transactional data through a single access point. A key application is loyalty programs, where users can sign up, earn points rewards and cash back when using their registered card.
Recent funding secured will allow Fidel to continue developing its programmable experiences that facilitate the easy use of payment cards. The company has plans to scale its workforce to meet growing demand in the engineering, sales, and product departments. Indeed, it will accelerate investments into expanding product offerings across identity verification, consent management and payments.

There is a focus on wellbeing that permeates the culture at Fidel. The CEO constantly talks about mental health and how we need to support and look out for one another. Fidel also gives a free Headspace membership to all employees and the company has an official mental health policy.

Starting at a company remotely during a pandemic is really rough. Luckily, the Fidel team made me feel welcome on day 1. The team was very open to have a virtual coffee, talk about their jobs, but also get to know one another. The weekly game nights and happy hours also really helped me get to know everyone. There also were a lot of resources to help me understand the industry and the company, and including the Fidel Bible.
