Company mission

Finance Earth's mission is to create projects – and the investment vehicles to fund them – that balance positive outcomes for all.

Our take

Reports suggest the global conservation funding gap could be as large as $800 Billon annually, which is a figure that can’t be tackled by public spending and philanthropy alone. Finance Earth works is an investment advisory and fund manager working in partnership with organisations like the National Trust, RSPB, WWF, and DEFRA to funnel much-needed private capital into social and environmental initiatives.

There’s always the difficulty that private investment has historically been motivated by private gain, not environmental good, but the tide appears to be shifting. Around one third of professionally-managed funds are now invested according to a sustainable strategy, and a large majority of investors understand the capacity their money has to impact climate change.

So much of the heavy lifting in terms of persuading private investors of their impact has already been done. The tougher task for Finance Earth may be drawing these investors to their firm, as opposed to other eco-conscious wealth management firms like Green Investment Group and Green Wealth Management.
