To build the run-anywhere firewall for the work-anywhere era.
Business-focused to its core, Firezone is a Virtual Private Network server that updates a model that’s becoming increasingly outdated due to slow response times and overlong configuration setups. Working off of Wireguard, a more recent VPN protocol, Firezone offers a range of features that are designed to attract business customers more than casual customers.
This sets it apart from the larger Nord VPN, though Firezone is still battling against larger, more experienced, and better-known competitors in the business sector. On top of this, new technology like Zero Trust Protocols and Secure Access Service Edge aims to provide more focused security for companies, adding another layer of market resistance to companies like FireZone.
That being said, provided that FireZone can convince customers to switch over to what it claims is a VPN that’s 4 to 6 times faster than leading competitors, then the blanket security system could grow out from its current seed funding, especially since remote and hybrid work setups have taken root in modern business culture.
