Our take

The UK rental sector is huge, with annual rental costs increasing on a yearly basis. The cornerstone of the landlord-tenant relationship is ensuring that repair and maintenance issues are properly managed. Not only is this good for landlords' profits and reputations, it is also part of their key legal duties.

Helping with this is Fixflo. Their product, a smart, web-based repairs and maintenance solution, helps landlords to keep on top of works. Solutions range from repair reporting by tenants to certification management for contractors, all of which are designed to make the process of repairs and maintenance much smoother.

Fixflo has been used by thousands of lettings agents nationwide, and in in 2021 was bought by German property software giant Aareon. Since the acquisition, it has continued to act as an independent entity, although the stepping down of its CEO to give control to Aareon may signify a new, more united future for the businesses.
