To use crypto to leverage an alternative revenue system for content creators.
With YouTube alone having about 50 million content creators, you can understand what the content creation industry is scaling towards. Content creators aren’t paid on a salary, instead relying on several forms of income and paid content deals. Frak is stepping onto the scene looking to shape a new way for creators to be reimbursed by their audiences.
Differing to platforms like Patreon, Frak is a DeFi protocol hoping to leverage crypto to support creators. The model is utilisation based, and users can earn a yield of “Fraktions” based on how much they consume. This is all done through customer data retrieval and token betting once users and creators download the Frak plug-in.
The company is still in it early stage, but it seems to have come up with an exciting and innovative idea that blends both the high demand and evolution of content creation and crypto. It'll be exciting to see how the company can take on the industry, and how popular its product will prove to be.
