Fresco's mission is to empower and inspire anyone to cook delicious food by connecting the world's recipes and appliances — all orchestrated through a magical user experience.
Home cooking has become increasingly innovative in recent years due to smart cooking appliances, online recipes, and ingredient management software. However, whilst all of these features are useful independently, many criticize them for their lack of connectivity with each other, showing a demand for an integrated IoT (Internet of Things) solution.
Fresco develops a smartphone application for smart home cooking, providing personalized tools that connect smart appliances with the app to provide an augmented cooking experience. Users can view recipes based on the ingredients they have, follow step-by-step cooking instructions, control kitchen appliances remotely, and save their favorite recipes for future use.
Whilst cooking applications have been helping home cookers for years, Fresco has taken this a step further by adapting their software tools to work directly with the appliances and ingredients present in the user’s kitchen. Complimented by further features such as recipe resizing, ingredient substituting, community forums, and shopping lists, the company claims that its smartphone app encourages people to cook more frequently due to the convenience that it provides.
