Company mission

Full Harvest's mission is to empower sustainability at the root level with the business marketplace for surplus & imperfect produce.

Our take

Full Harvest is attempting to alleviate food waste – a $2.6 trillion problem worldwide – through a B2B marketplace which connects farmers with produce buyers.

Where Full Harvest makes a difference from other produce marketplaces however, is that it focuses on finding a sales channel for surplus and “imperfect” produce. Because of the fact that too many retailers are hesitant to stock imperfect food for aesthetic reasons, it’s estimated that around 25% of all edible produce doesn’t leave farms in the first place.

Though founded in 2015, Full Harvest has been gaining serious momentum in the recent past, attracting major customers such as Danone North America and liquid fruit and vegetable ingredients company SVZ.

It’s also been on a major fundraising drive, using investment from Rabobank, Japan Airlines, and Telus Ventures to grow its leadership team and expand the functionality of the platform, focusing especially on its data insights capabilities.
